Accounting Associate (Redwood City)
The Accounting Associate will play an integral role in growing OREI Advisors and deepening the relationships within the company as well as with outside partners. The Accounting Associate will report directly to the VP of Finance and oversee the financial and accounting activities of the company’s operating and development properties.

Partner with project and hotel accounting teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
Collaborate with Sales team on residential unit sales, reviewing agreements and draft settlement statements prior to finalization with buyers.
Record all residential sales, acquisitions, and disposition activity at investment properties. Maintain cost of sales worksheet.
Perform monthly reconciliation and review of B/S & P/L accounts, with variance and fluctuation analysis.
Manage compliance with debt covenants and provide timely debt compliance reporting.
Assist Investment and Asset Management team maintain valuation models for investments by providing cash flow support.
Prepare full financial statements, including footnotes. Manage audit process including preparation of PBCs, responding to audit inquiries, and addressing financial statement comments with auditors.
Assist with annual tax compliance, providing financial information and support to tax preparers, as necessary.
Assist in creating and documenting accounting policies and processes
Ad-hoc projects as requested by VP of Finance and CFO. This could include, but is not limited to, ongoing procedural changes and automation initiatives.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2 to 5 years public accounting or relevant accounting experience in real estate or hospitality industry.
Audit experience and CPA a plus.
Experience with consolidations and preparing GAAP financial statements for operating hotels.
Strong Excel skills and proficiency with Great Plains preferred.
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
